UPCOMING SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT:  2023 PALI / NJLPIA CONFERENCE

PALI & NJLPIA

New Venture For This Year’s Annual Conference

The state-wide Private Investigator associations for Pennsylvania and New Jersey are embarking on an exciting new chapter in providing a professional conference experience.  PALI and NJLPIA are teaming up for this year’s annual conference.

That essentially translates to twice the knowledge base to learn from, twice the networking opportunities, and twice as much fun.  If you are a professional investigator, you won’t want to miss it!

Speaker Session

At this year’s conference, I have the pleasure and honor of being the kick-off speaker.  Here is the session description:

The Armed Active Assailant: Response Guidelines for the Private Investigator

Having instructed hundreds of law enforcement officers and civilians in responding to Active Shooters, Dennis Eberly will offer response suggestions for both, unarmed and armed private investigators. As PIs go about their daily duties, they never know when they will find themselves thrust into the middle of the carnage the Armed Active Assailant has the capacity to create. Having a sound tactical plan may save the life of the PI and of other innocent people caught in the path of this deadly behavior.

I am excitedly looking forward to this experience.  I hope to be able to assist fellow investigators prepare themselves for the unlikely chance of being in the middle of such a violent event.  However, we must remember that we do not choose the situation; the situation chooses us.

Just as we cannot predict the precise moment and location of a lightning strike, an Armed Active Assailant also strikes without warning (not really – those people who regularly interact with them beforehand often have an opportunity to become aware of predictive behavior) and wreaks havoc among those who are unluckily in their potentially-deadly path.  Preparedness favors survivability!
