WHITEHALL - OLD WAR OFFICE

This is the Old War Office (OWO) in Whitehall.

It is also depicted in several James Bond films as the HQ of MI6, where 007 met with "M." One of the latest Bond movies, which featured it, was "Skyfall." The rooftop scene of the London skyline, where Big Ben is visible, was filmed at the top of this building.

The creator of 007, Ian Fleming, actually worked in this building as a British Naval Intelligence Officer, and it is believed he conceived the creation of his character while working there.
